PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP - VOLUNTEERS WANTED
The practice is planning to set up a Patient Participation Group.
If you have views on how the practice works and would like to play a part in helping us improve services then let us know. You will need to commit to taking part in regular meetings and possibly helping us gather views and implement changes within the practice.
We are looking for a maximum of 10 people to be part of this new initiative. If we have more volunteers than places available we will endeavour to select a representative group from those who put their names forward.
If you have the time and enthusiasm then please give your details to reception no later than 29th April 2011.

DR CAIRN'S RETIREMENT
After 17 years with the practice Dr Cairns retired on 31st March 2011.
Dr Victoria Robins joined the practice on 1st April 2011.
All patients registered with Dr Cairns are now registered with either Dr Carnell and Dr Robins.
Dr Carnell, who sees patients on a Monday and a Wednesday, will look after patients who are registered with both herself and Dr Robins on the days she is in the Practice.
Dr Robins who sees patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, will look after patients registered with both herself and Dr Carnell.

EVENING AND SATURDAY OPENING
Please note that the surgery now offers appointments in the evenings on a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 6.30-8.00pm and on a Saturday morning from 9.00am -12.00 noon. These appointments MUST be booked in advance.

ARE YOU A CARER WHO PROVIDES CARE FOR SOMEONE
If you provide care for someone then it is important that your doctor knows about this as it may be relevant at some stage to the support and care that the Practice provides to you.
Please tell your doctor when you next see him if you are a carer so that he/she may record the fact in your records.
